Memphis Grizzlies are in great shape with their current contracts

Jaren Jackson Jr.

Under contract through 2025-26

Jaren Jackson, 23, signed a lucrative $104.72 million contract extension in October 2021, keeping him on the Grizzlies for the next several seasons. He’s set to hit unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2026.

Tyson Jones

Under contract through 2023-24

Tyus Jones, 26, signed a two-year, $29 million contract extension to keep him firmly entrenched as Ja Morant’s backup for this season plus next season. He’ll then hit unrestricted free agency when he’s 28 years old.

John Konchar

Under contract through 2026-27

John Konchar, 26, has this season plus next season remaining on his current contract. Back in July, he agreed to extend that contract for three years and $19 million. Jitty will be in Memphis for the 2022-23 season plus four more after that.

Jake LaRavia

Under team control through 2026-27

Rookie Jake LaRavia, 20, agreed to his rookie contract shortly after being drafted in the offseason. The Grizzlies have a club option on him for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 season. Basically, he’s under team control for four seasons plus one more under a qualifying offer or as a restricted free agent. LaRavia can begin negotiating a new deal after the 2024-25 season.

Kenneth Lofton Jr.

Under team control through 2022-23

Not much is known about Kenneth Lofton Jr.’s contract with the Grizzlies other than that it’s a two-way deal. Those are typically done in one-year increments. Expect Junior, age 20, and the team to work on something more long-term if he continues to show he belongs on an NBA court like we saw during the 2022 Summer League and Preseason.
