The Memphis Grizzlies kick off their 2022-23 regular season Oct. 19 when they host RJ Barrett and the New York Knicks at the FedEx Forum, spurring many to make plans to attend this highly anticipated matchup.

In today’s economy, one in which fans are more cash-strapped than ever, being able to take your family or a group of friends to see the Memphis Grizzlies is a luxury many simply don’t have. With the cost of nearly everything rising, fans have fewer and fewer dollars to attribute to entertainment, which makes fans think long and hard about whether or not they have the means to attend a Grizzlies game in-person.

A new report from Adam Thompson at Bookies.com has listed the cost for a family of four to enjoy a night out at each of the 30 NBA arenas ahead of the new season.

How much does it cost to go to a Memphis Grizzlies basketball game?

In order to see the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum, you can expect to pay a little more than $220 (on average) to take a family of four to an average game.

Using the cheapest ticket option here’s how the results came out for Memphis fans:

Tickets (x4): $160

Parking: $15

16oz Beer (x2): $17.92

20oz Soda (x2): $12

Hot Dogs (x4): $20

Total: $224.92

That grand total, $224.92, actually comes in slightly cheaper than the average cost for other NBA fans. The average cost for a family of four to go out and see an NBA game comes in at $288.38, according to the report. The Memphis Grizzlies are the No. 16 most expensive outing out of all 30 teams.

Still, that’s a pretty significant cost to go out and see Ja Morant and the Grizzlies. Keep in mind, this is just an average cost. Teams usually raise their prices significantly when top-tier talent rolls into Memphis. Expect to pay even more for your tickets if you want to see Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, or Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

But, Grizzlies fans should take some solace in the fact that you aren’t a Golden State Warriors fan in San Francisco— they boast the most expensive tickets, the most expensive beer prices, the second-most expensive hot dog prices and the most expensive total price of any NBA team.

If you want to see the Golden State Warriors play in San Francisco, it’ll cost a league-high $690.39 for a family of four to go to a game, park their car, get two beers, two sodas and four hot dogs— and that’s buying the cheapest tickets available, a far cry from the $224.92 it’ll set you back at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
