Currently, Lebron James is on track to break the NBA All-Time scoring record this season. How might this relate to the Memphis Grizzlies you may ask?

Many fans are beginning to speculate as to when “The King” will break this record. Many fans think James will attempt to do it at home in Los Angeles, or maybe on January 31st in Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. Both of those are viable options, as based on his career average points per game, James only needs 49 games to put his name at the top of the scoring list. The Lakers’ 49th game will be at home against the San Antonio Spurs.

Could Memphis Grizzlies become footnote in historic career of LeBron James?

Lebron, however, has not played a full season since the 2018-2019 season. He is likely to miss a few games if it is just one or two that would put him on track for a New York, Madison Square Garden, celebration, but if he becomes injured as he has the past two years, it could come later.

Many things factor into when and where Lebron will break the scoring record. Will Lebron want to do it in LA, or maybe Cleveland, or New York, or does he care where it happens? Will he try to get it done right before the all-star break so that is all that is discussed during the break?

I’ve got three reasons why Lebron will break this record at the FedEx Forum in Memphis on February 28th.
