2. Memphis Grizzlies are without multiple key rotation players

If you watched the game vs Dallas and felt like some key players that should be in the Grizzlies’ rotation were missing— it’s because they were.

Dillon Brooks was questionable leading up to the game vs Dallas but ended up sitting out for a third-straight game due to thigh soreness.

Ziaire Williams missed his third consecutive game as well due to knee soreness, and Jaren Jackson Jr. probably will not be back until mid-November at the earliest.

When you play a team as good as the Mavericks in their home opener, the game is going to be tough even if you are fully healthy. If you do not have your best perimeter defender and starting three, your Defensive Player of the Year finalist and starting four, and your shot-creating sixth man, the odds are already not in your favor.

Grizzlies fans should wait to make any kind of judgement about the team until they are healthy, and should not worry about this blowout loss to the Mavericks due to the lack of impactful bodies.
