Can Ja Morant keep up his MVP level play in Portland?

It has not gone unnoticed how incredible Ja Morant has been through the first seven games of the year.

He is averaging 33.3 points, which only ranks him behind Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo, in 32.7 minutes per game.

Not only is he averaging that many points, but he has also been one of the most efficient scorers in the league.

He is taking 20 field goal attempts a night, and is making them at a 55% clip. He is also taking 4.2 three-pointers a night and has made 56% of those looks. He is shooting 85.7% from the free throw line on 10.5 attempts. These unreal shooting splits have him at a true shooting percentage of 67.7%.

Not only is he scoring so efficiently at a staggering pace, but he is also doing everything else on the court well too. He is averaging 6.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks. His defense looks leaps and bounds better than it has in years past, as his effort alone has allowed him to create turnovers and lead much needed fast breaks for the Grizzlies.

Especially with this game on ESPN, I’m sure Ja Morant is ready to show the whole world why he is worthy of the MVP award in his fourth year in the league, and that will be a show that you simply can not miss.
