The Memphis Grizzlies (5-3) are returning back home for a three-game homestand beginning with the Charlotte Hornets (3-5) in their first of two matchups this season.
The Hornets have been operating without their All-Star point guard, Lamelo Ball. The third-year guard rolled his left ankle in a preseason game on October 10th and hasn’t suited up for Charlotte since then. According to Jeff Stotts, the average timetable for a Grade 2 ankle sprain is 7 games or 19 days, so, the Hornets should be expecting him back in the near future.
On the other hand, the Grizzlies have a list of their usual suspects on their injury report.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Charlotte Hornets Prediction for Nov. 4
After a 111-106 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, the Grizzlies need to keep their defensive efforts up to continue to regain confidence on that side of the floor. 106 is the least amount of points the Grizzlies have given up all season, and I expect them to top that in this one.
In this young NBA season, Memphis is still searching for its first real blowout win. Their closest thing to it was a 125-110 win last week in Sacramento where the starters were still required to close out the game. This Friday night matchup at home provides the perfect spectacle to run away with it.
The Grizzlies still have a lot to prove defensively, and with Desmond Bane still shooting the way he is, the Hornets could drop their third straight.
Prediction: Memphis 121, Hornets 104
