2. Dillon Brooks is finally accepting his role on the Memphis Grizzlies

Dillon Brooks started off the season inefficient to say the least, but boy has he turned it around since those first few games.

In the seven games that Dillon has played in, he is averaging 15 points on 41.5% shooting from the field (13.4 attempts) and 44.7% shooting from three (5.4 attempts), 2.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.9 steals a night..

According to Bball-Index, Dillon Brooks has ranked in the 89.2% in three point percentage amongst all players in the league and in the 92.3% in catch and shoot three point percentage amongst all players in the league thus far.

This efficiency while taking a majority of his shots in the flow of the offense has been huge for the public perception of Dillon Brooks, who got killed for his shaky shot selection and inefficiency in the playoffs last year.

His defense has also been outstanding, as he has set the tone for the Grizzlies on defense and guarded the best player on the opposing team every night. He has committed a career low 2.7 fouls a night, which is also extremely encouraging to see.

Dillon Brooks finally taking a backseat to Ja Morant and Desmond Bane on the offensive end while taking shots created by the backcourt and shooting so efficiently is a huge development this early in the year. Brooks also being the defensive anchor and focusing more of his energy on that end of the court should increase the Grizzlies’ chances of making a deep playoff run this year, and also increases the chance of him getting a contract extension to remain in Memphis for years to come.
