The Memphis Grizzlies are 9-1 in their last 10 games, but that hasn’t been enough for them to catch the Denver Nuggets for the top spot in the Western Conference.

They still sit 1.5 games back from the Conference lead, but they can take a another step forward with a win over the struggling Phoenix Suns tonight.

The Grizzlies are the best defensive team in the NBA, and I expect that to carry them through their matchup with the Suns tonight.

They rank first in both defensive efficiency and effective field goal percentage. Meanwhile, the Suns rank outside the top 10 in both of those areas.

Not only do they dominate in their own end, Memphis is the best rebounding team in the NBA as well, grabbing 52.9% of boards per game. Another area that Phoenix ranks outside the top 10 in.

The list of injuries for the Suns is a long won, with Chirs Paul, Jae Crowder, DeAndre Ayton, and Devin Booker all expected to be out tonight.
