Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves prediction and odds for Friday, January 27
By Josh Yourish
They’re certainly a contender in the Western Conference, but the Memphis Grizzlies are still a young team. On Wednesday, Ja Morant was outclassed by Steph Curry in the bay and the Grizzlies lost a tough one, 122-120.
Now, Memphis is 31-17, 2.5 games out of first place in the conference, and losers of four straight on their west coast road trip. They’re working their way back home, but last stop, Minnesota, to take on the 25-25 Timberwolves who are without Karl-Anthony Towns.
Let’s check out the odds for this Western Conference matchup between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves in Minnesota.

Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves prediction and pick
Memphis may miss veteran Steven Adams a ton, who is nursing a knee injury, but they should be able to handle the Timberwolves. The T’Wolves are thin up front with Karl-Anthony Towns still out with his calf injury and Rudy Gobert on the injury report with groin soreness that has cost him the last three games, which could open the paint up for Morant to penetrate and cause havoc for Minnesota’s middling defense.
Over these four games, Memphis’s effective field goal percentage is 48.9%, that’s worst in the NBA for that stretch and would be dead last in the league for the entire season. Memphis’s effective field goal percentage for the year is 53.1%, I expect some shooting regression and a team desperate to head back to Memphis with at least one win.
