The Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets both played on Tuesday night, but they came away with different results.

Memphis picked up a home win over the Los Angeles Lakers, riding 28 points in the third quarter from Ja Morant for the win. Houston, on the other hand, was blown out by the Denver Nuggets, the team’s 10th straight loss.

These two squads face off in Houston on Wednesday night, and the Grizzlies are massive favorites. Memphis has struggled on the road this season, but Houston has been impossible to trust on this losing streak.

The team has lost five straight games by double-digits, and it still has the worst record in the NBA.

Here’s how to bet on Wednesday’s matchup:

Grizzlies vs. Rockets odds, spread and total

Grizzlies vs. Rockets prediction and pick

While it may seem like the Grizzlies are the easy team to back, I can’t lay nearly double digits with them since they are just 8-11-1 ATS as road favorites this season.

Instead, I’m going to look to the total since Houston has one of the worst defenses in the NBA.

The Grizzlies love to get out and run, and they should be able to do that against the Rockets, who rank dead last in the NBA in turnover percentage.

Houston has allowed at least 123 points in four of its last five games, and the team is 30-30-1 on OVERs this season because of its poor defense.

The Grizzlies are sixth in the league in pace, so we should see an uptempo game in Houston. While I think the Grizzlies win, I can’t trust them to win by 10 or more, so I’ll just back them to play a high-scoring game instead.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
