Best NBA prop bets today for Grizzlies vs. Lakers (Tyus Jones thrives with Ja Morant out)
By Peter Dewey
The Memphis Grizzlies won’t have star Ja Morant (suspension) against the Los Angeles Lakers, but that opens up some value in the betting market on guard Tyus Jones.
Jones is putting up some wild numbers without Morant this season, and he’s one of two players to target for prop bets in tonight’s primetime matchup.
Grizzlies vs. Lakers best NBA prop bets
- Tyus Jones OVER 26.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
- Anthony Davis UNDER 3.5 Assists
Tyus Jones OVER 26.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
When Morant is out, Jones is a must bet.
In the 10 games that Morant has missed this season, Jones is averaging 19.4 points, 8.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game (31 points, rebounds and assists).
The Lakers are going to push the pace in this game, which should give Jones plenty of chances to score. Not only that, but he’s gone over this line in seven of the 10 games Morant has missed this season.
Anthony Davis UNDER 3.5 Assists
This line feels like an overreaction to Anthony Davis’ six-assist game against Golden State, as he’s failed to clear it in seven of his last 10 games.
Davis is averaging just 2.5 assists per game on the season, and he didn’t record a single assist in the Lakers’ last matchup with the Grizzlies.
I love the UNDER on 3.5 if you can get it.
