Barring an absolute collapse down the stretch we know that the Los Angeles Clippers will be in the Western Conference playoffs, and likely avoid the Play-In Tournament.

On Wednesday, the Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies, who have already clinched a postseason berth. The Clippers are fifth in the West at 41-36 and the Grizzlies are second at 48-28, so these two potential contenders are jockeying for position in the final few games of the regular season.

In the Clippers 141-132 win over Memphis on Wednesday LA didn’t have Kawhi Leonard on the floor and got a vintage Russell Westbrook game to outduel Ja Morant. Tonight, Kawhi is still questionable as is Desmond Bane who also missed that Wednesday game, so with question marks all over both rosters, where have oddsmakers set the spread and over/under?

Who knew that Russ still had that in him. On Wednesday, Westbrook went for 36 points and 10 assists and they even got 27 points from Robert Covington, so it was a real throwback to when those two were on the Rockets and Covington had to play Center on that bizarre team. Anyways, the Clippers shot 22/37 in that game and for those who aren’t mathematically inclined that’s 59.5%. Which is absurd.

The Grizzlies out-rebounded the Clippers, including 14 offensive boards, they were +2 in turnover margin and took 95 field goals to LA’s 78. Memphis dominated this game and the better team absolutely did not win. Those of you who are big math people know that regression is coming for the Clippers and their vulnerabilities will 100% start to show in tonight’s rematch.

The Grizzlies are 33-6 at home this year, they have a better home net rating than any team in the league and there is no chance they lose twice as a home favorite. Give me Memphis.
