The Grizzlies enter Game 4 in a must-win situation against the Lakers, and while the team lost by 10 in Game 3, got a healthy effort from Ja Morant, who scored 45 points.

What can we expect from Morant with one day off and a lingering hand issue? What about a possible adjustment from head coach Taylor Jenkins? Here’s a pair of prop bets I’m eyeing for the Grizzlies.

Best Grizzlies vs. Lakers prop bets

  • Desmond Bane OVER 20.5 Points
  • Ja Morant UDNER 43.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Desmond Bane OVER 20.5 Points

First and foremost, the Grizzlies need Bane to stay out of foul trouble. He found himself on the bench with two fouls in the first six minutes of the game and that played a big role in the Grizzlies falling down 35-9 in Game 3.

As long as he stays on the floor, I like Bane to take some of the scoring load off of Morant, who was excellent in trying to will the Grizz back into the game.

Bane is the team’s best three-point shooter in the starting lineup and the team needs him to open up the paint for Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. to get inside. He has taken at least six three’s in each game this series and is averaging 19 points through three games.

However, in Game 1, when Morant played for a majority of it before injuring his hand, he scored 22. I believe he’ll generate good looks and get over this mark with more attention on the team’s All-Star guard.

Ja Morant UNDER 43.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

I know Morant cleared this with his points alone, but I believe we see a more sound Lakers defensive game plan that may feature more reps of Jared Vanderbilt on Morant, meaning that he will need to play as more of a facilitator in this one, hence why I like Bane’s over points.

Morant averaged about 40 PRA’s during the regular season, so I believe that this number is a bit of an overreaction to a ton of garbage time scoring from the guard.
