1. Zion Williamson
Consider this the most unlikely move on the board, but it is worth mentioning. Zion played just 29 games this season, and he has only appeared in 114 games in his first four NBA seasons. The Pelicans got off to a promising start before another Williamson injury derailed their campaign. It has plenty of pundits pontificating about the Pelicans shopping the star.
Zion begins a five-year $194.3 million extension next season, and his trade value should be slightly down given his latest injury that kept him out the final four months of this season. New Orleans has no reason to put him on the block, but the Grizzlies are eager to bid on the next star that becomes available.
Williamson was an AAU teammate of Ja Morant, and they will forever be linked by being the top two selections in 2019 NBA Draft. They know each other well, and both would welcome a reunion on the floor if meant getting them closer to winning a championship.
