3. SG Seth Curry

Similar to Smith, not many people may know that Seth Curry played for the Grizzlies at one point. However, this isn’t surprising at all considering he played just two games with the team his rookie year before being waived.

It would only take two years after waiving Curry for him to find a spot in the league as one of its premier shooters just like his brother. While it’s not surprising that the Grizzlies didn’t believe in him, as no teams really did at the time. It still hurts that they gave up such a good player before he even had a chance.

Since being Waived by the Grizzlies, Curry has averaged 11.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field and 43.5% from three on 4.4 attempts. As unlikely as it is that Curry would stick with the Grizzlies for so long, it still would have been nice to have this good of a three-point shooter toward the end of Grit and Grind.

It’s pretty funny how much undrafted talent the Grizzlies have had come and go over the years. While none of these guys have been stars, the value they’d bring to Memphis would still make a difference nonetheless.
