Dillon Brooks replacements for the Memphis Grizzlies in NBA free agency

Memphis Grizzlies’ target No. 5 – Bruce Brown
Bruce Brown was a solid rotational player during his first four NBA seasons, but he’s truly turned into the best version of himself with the Denver Nuggets. He’s been a huge spark for them on the court at all times, serving as a two-way threat. The forward has been a significant contributor for them in the current playoffs. Brown has a player option to ponder this off-season, and if he wants to test the market, the Grizzlies should pursue him heavily.
The 26-year-old would fit in seamlessly with the Nuggets, giving them another tough defender on the wing to replace Brooks. In addition to providing more defense, Brown would be another Swiss Army Knife, as he stuffed the stat sheet this season with averages of 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game; several of those were career bests for the fifth-year player.
The big question is what Brown plans to do with his player option. Given how well he has played in Denver this season, one would think he would opt out to seek a raise. It would be tough for a team to outbid the Nuggets, but that should not stop Memphis from trying. Plenty of teams would love to have Brown on their team, and the Grizzlies should be in the mix.
