Memphis Grizzlies’ target No. 6 – Donte DiVincenzo

Between stops in Milwaukee, Sacramento, and Golden State, Donte DiVincenzo has shown that he can be a glue guy for any team. He’s a role player who would fit in with essentially every NBA team if given the chance, so it’s not too controversial to say that the Memphis Grizzlies should pursue the Villanova product if he declines his player option in free agency.

Like the aforementioned Bruce Brown, DiVincenzo is known to stuff the stat sheet. In addition to being a solid scorer and outside shooter, the guard is among the best rebounders in the league at his position and is an underrated facilitator. On top of that, he’s a quality 6-foot-4 defender who is switchable. He checks off all of the boxes that the Grizzlies need and would be an excellent piece to add to their backcourt this off-season.

Much like several of the other candidates, it remains to be seen what DiVincenzo will be seeking on the open market if he declines his player option. He had a solid season with the Warriors, but nothing that would break the bank for any interested teams. Whatever the case, Memphis must make an offer to the young swingman if he is available in free agency.
