The Memphis Grizzlies may have opted to scoop veteran guard Derrick Rose up off the open market this summer but, outside of this decision, the front office remained rather inactive in free agency.

Though there’s a realistic argument to be made that the main reason for this idleness may have been based off lacking interest from the available crop of players, perhaps another could be that they are simply more interested in keeping their financial books flexible for some of the talents that are slated to become available next offseason.

From career journeymen to legitimate NBA superstars, the 2024 free agency class is expected to be chock full of intriguing names that could be of great service to Taylor Jenkins’ rotation moving forward.

With this in mind, here are three players the Grizzlies may want to consider pursuing.

3. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Rostering past champions is always a valuable asset to have within a title hopeful’s arsenal, and veteran wing Kentavious Caldwell-Pope currently finds himself coming off his second title in the NBA as a member of the Denver Nuggets with a hope of adding one more ring to his collection before next summer’s free agency period.

Throughout his ten seasons in the association, KCP has established himself as a trusty two-way role player who has been tasked with logging considerable minutes on highly competitive clubs.

The 30-year-old sports solid career averages of 11.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steals on 36.5 percent shooting from deep while boasting a highly respectable defensive rating of 110.

Though he may not be a sexy star-caliber talent, Caldwell-Pope is a proven commodity who can put forth impactful production as both a starter as well as when serving as a reserve option.

With established studs already in tow with the likes of Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane, bringing on such an individual could theoretically be all this Grizzlies team may be in need of a year from now.
