2. Phoenix Suns

Similar to the Warriors, the Phoenix Suns will be gunning for glory during the upcoming 2023-24 campaign though, despite their top-heavy starting lineup now headlined by Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, they seem to fall flat when it comes to noteworthy experience within the rotation.

Rudy Gay is a 17-year NBA veteran with 19 career postseason games attached to his resume. Unfortunately, he has yet to see any meaningful action under such bright lights, and has been sent packing in the first round each opportunity he has gotten.

Now in the twilight years of his career, it’s more than likely that the former Grizzlies stud will be looking to link up with a squad who can at the very least guarantee him an advancement out of the quarterfinals and, in turn, finally give him a shot at claiming a championship ring before he officially decides to hang up his sneakers.

Considering they’re listed as a +850 to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy coming into the year, taking his talents to the Valley of the Sun may make all too much sense.

Though he may be a bit of a questionmark at this point in time when it comes to what he can still provide on the hardwood skills-wise, considering the overflow of talent Phoenix currently has, simply adding on his experience, wisdom, and leadership could be reason enough to snatch him up off the free agent market.
