Would the Memphis Grizzlies accept this trade?

As we at BSB have personally noted numerous times in the past whilst concocting some of our own hypothetical trade proposals for the likes of OG Anunoby, adding the six-year veteran to this Grizzlies core would create one of the most well-rounded rotations in the entire league.

Anunoby’s arrival would instantly form one of if not the best defensive trios in the league with him running alongside the two most recent Defensive Player of the Year award winners in Marcus Smart and Jaren Jackson Jr.

From an overall foundational perspective, plugging him into the rotation alongside Jackson, Desmond Bane, or course, Ja Morant would create a legitimate big-four out in Memphis.

Add this all to the fact that he’s still just in his mid-20s and is only entering the third year of his four-year, $72 million contract, and the Grizzlies would not only have him to aid in their efforts to win a title in the now but, assuming they re-sign him in 2025, for the next eight to ten years which gives them quite a realistic chance (barring any unforeseen circumstances, of course) of becoming a possible NBA dynasty considering their current trajectory.

Grade: A

As stated several times throughout this piece alone, the concept of parting ways with Brandon Clarke may initially be a tough pill to swallow when taking into account the contributions he’s provided to this Grizzlies team throughout his four-year tenure.

That said, should his services along with a few firsts be all it takes to bring on a two-way player in the prime of his career that plays a position of pivotal need, the trade that Durrett has proposed seems to be a no-brainer.
