1. Reggie Bullock

The beauty of having a guy like Dorian Finney-Smith in the lineup is that he can provide always coveted two-way production for both the three and four positions.

Reggie Bullock is a similar brand of player as far as his on-court skill set is concerned, only his build is more catered to the two and three slots within a lineup which, considering Memphis’ semi-lacking dependability in their backcourt (Morant will be suspended for the first 25 games of the season and has never been a model for health, Smart has played in 70 or more games just three times in his career, etc.) could prove to be highly beneficial.

Boasting an enviable combination of defense with a more-than-serviceable three-ball, Bullock is an 11-year veteran who averages 7.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game on 38.4 percent shooting from distance.

On top of this, he has a solid amount of experience playing for postseason-bound ball clubs, including with the Mavericks back in 2022 where they came within just three wins of advancing to the NBA Finals.

Currently, he finds himself entering the final season of his current deal as a member of the youth-oriented San Antonio Spurs.

While his veteran presence and leadership are bound to be used to their fullest extent early on, once the calendar flips to 2024 one should expect to see Bullock’s name popping up on the trade rumor mill, for his services are best fit for a contending club.

Hopefully, this is where the Grizzlies would and should step into fielding inquiries regarding his availability and subsequent asking price.
