The Memphis Grizzlies boast one of the most gifted rosters in the entire association. From Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. to Desmond Bane and Brandon Clarke, Taylor Jenkins’ current assortment of ballers is seemingly overflowing with top-notch talent, as it possesses some of the most promising names currently in the sport.

However, it seems those in tow also believe their expertise could transcend the game of basketball, as a bevy of them were found taking part in a playful debate over who of the bunch would win a Grizzlies-led home run derby.

Grizzlies discuss who would win a team-led home run derby; fans chime in

For the most part, the Grizzlies members who actually responded to the club’s X account (previously known as Twitter) inquiry dubbed themselves as the clear choice to reign supreme in the hypothetical contest, though there were a few who received votes from their respective cohorts.

Leading the charge in this department was soon-to-be sophomore forward Kenneth Lofton Jr., who was backed by two of his teammates Steven Adams and John Konchar. Bane, Adams, and Konchar also were individually dubbed as potential winners by the likes of Clarke and Ziaire Williams, respectively.

Fans of the organization also chimed in on the discussion to provide more clarity for who could be seen as a favorite to take home the title of derby champ, with Lofton continuing to pile up his collection of votes.

One individual went as far as to suggest that “there’s only one right answer,” and would follow such a claim up with a clip of Lofton hoisting a shot from far beyond the arc.

Bane also continued to collect votes for his ability to come away victorious, with a fan pointing out the build of his arms as his argument for why the guard would have a strong chance in the contest.
