2. Will Barton

Throughout the vast majority of his impressive 11-year playing career, Will Barton has proven himself to be one of the game’s more reliable two-way wings.

Even with his lackluster 2022-23 showing that saw him post rather pedestrian averages of 6.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and half a steal through 56 games played with both the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors, respectively, during the season he still proved capable of providing reliable floor spacing (shot 36.7 percent from deep) abilities and solid efforts on the less glamorous side of the ball.

On top of this, Barton finds himself just one season removed from posting 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per night for the contender Denver Nuggets and, since 2015-16, he boasts sound averages of 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists on 36.5 percent shooting from deep.

Available on the free agency market, adding an experienced veteran like the 32-year-old on a minimum-scale contract could be a savvy and cost-efficient way to bring on more seasoned mentors to this locker room and, if his latest campaign was simply just a fluke, the Grizzlies may very well find a short-term answer to their three spot in the process.
