1. O.G. Anunoby

It should come as no surprise that the extension-eligible O.G. Anunoby finds himself falling on this list of players the Grizzlies must consider pursuing a deal for.

Though his previously mentioned Raptors cohort in Siakam may have the star allure attached to his name, considering his specific skill set along with his age, we at BSB have regularly made the case that the 26-year-old would be the ideal outsourced talent to add to Memphis’ roster.

This still remains the consensus belief.

Showcasing an innate ability to play both inside and out on both ends of the floor, with every passing season since being selected 23 overall back in 2017 Anunoby has continuously improved upon his overall game and, since 2020-21, has posted stellar averages of 16.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and just shy of a block while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from deep.

Unlike Siakam, the seventh-year veteran is a natural wing, thus providing more rotational clarity and simply making him more of a seamless fit for Jenkins’ squad both in the immediate future as well as for the long-term as well, especially if the Grizzlies were to shell out a new payday in his direction if attained.

A starting five consisting of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Anunoby, Jackson Jr., and Adams would rival any other team across the league and having Marcus Smart serve as a go-to sixth man could easily wind up making them one of the most menacing top-six units in the game today.
