The NBA's popular video game, NBA 2K, has been around since 1999 and has only gained more popularity over the years. NBA players often joke about their low ratings, and some use it as motivation to improve their game. The next iteration of the video game series is set to release exactly one month from today, on September 5th.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been a good team over the last couple of years, meaning NBA 2K has had them ranked as one of the better teams. Specifically, Ja Morant has been highly ranked as his rating has been at least a 92 in the last three 2K games. Early 2K26 rating leaks have confirmed that Morant will have a rating of 92 for the fourth consecutive season.

While Morant has been the only Grizzlies player to rank in the 90s the last couple of years, he will be joined by fellow star teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. He will enter the 90s club for the first time in his career after garnering a rating of 86 on NBA 2K25. The biggest surprise on the Grizzlies' roster shows that their offseason moves were validated in their push for title contention.

Ty Jerome only rated three points below Desmond Bane

The Grizzlies are likely to start either Jaylen Wells or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in place of the departed Desmond Bane, but his scoring is expected to be replaced by free agent acquisition Ty Jerome. Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. will be tasked with leading the scoring load for the starting unit, while Jerome and Santi Aldama will lead the scoring from the bench unit.

Ty Jerome finished third in the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year voting last season after averaging 12.5 points on 51.6% shooting, including 43.6% from three for the Cleveland Cavaliers. His NBA 2K26 rating will be third on the Grizzlies with an 83 rating, just three spots below the 86 rating Desmond Bane has.

Following Jerome in the 80s club are second-year big man Zach Edey (81), reserve forward Brandon Clarke (80), and Santi Aldama (80). This shows the Grizzlies' top-level talent is mostly in the front court, while their backcourt is filled with young and promising prospects. Ty Jerome will be tasked with replicating some of the scoring and shooting Bane previously provided, and the 2K ratings prove that they aren't far apart.

Jerome was the first outside player the Grizzlies targeted when free agency began, and they executed a bargain deal quickly on the first day of free agency. The 2K ratings proved them right with that assessment following the loss of Bane, and it shows that the Grizzlies will be a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference again next season.
