Do you remember when the entire media landscape was in uproar over Ja Morant's trash-talking moment with Klay Thompson after the Grizzlies beat the Dallas Mavericks on November 22nd? Also, do you remember when the media misconstrued Morant's comments during his interruption of Cam Spencer's postgame interview?

Cam Spencer was instrumental in helping the Grizzlies defeat the Dallas Mavericks that night after scoring 17 points on 6-10 shooting from the field and 3-5 from three-point range. After the back-and-forth between Morant and Klay Thompson transpired after the game, Morant crashed Spencer's interview to say, "tell them who the best shooter in the house was, it wasn't bruh from Golden State."

Many people thought he was talking about former Golden State Warriors and current Mavericks rival Klay Thompson, considering what had just happened. However, others were quick to point out that Cam Spencer's brother, Pat Spencer, currently plays for the Warriors. They even had a moment guarding each other at the end of the Grizzlies-Warriors game from earlier this season that had Ja Morant and others hyping them up on the sideline.

It's easy to correlate Klay Thompson to his time in Golden State and his lone running rivalry with the Grizzlies from that time. Also, Pat Spencer wasn't playing much at that time, only averaging 5.5 points on 35% shooting. However, both he and Cam Spencer are showing people exactly what Ja Morant was talking about in recent weeks.

The Spencer brothers are taking the NBA by storm

Cam Spencer has continued to provide a spark coming off the bench for the Grizzlies, leading the team in three-point percentage with 46.5% on the season. Beginning with that Dallas game, he has scored in double figures in eight consecutive games, while adding more playmaking to his arsenal with 5.3 assists per game.

Meanwhile, injuries in Golden State have given his brother Pat Spencer more playing time, and he is taking advantage of it. Beginning with their loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 2nd, Pat Spencer has scored in double figures in four consecutive games, including making game-winning free throws and waving goodbye to Cleveland Cavaliers fans, which even had Cavaliers guard Darius Garland laughing.

Now, to piggyback on Morant's comments, Pat Spencer is now shooting 44.4% from three on the season, which is only two percentage points behind his younger brother Cam Spencer. The NBA has always had a collection of players with brothers playing in the league, and the Spencer brothers are making a name for themselves separately and collectively as they are taking advantage of increased opportunities this season.
