2024 NBA Mock Draft: Grizzlies add key piece in lottery, Pistons get future star

20. Indiana Pacers grab Bobi Klintman
Klintman played one season at Wake Forest before deciding to turn professional. He was drawing some first-round buzz in the 2023 NBA Draft but decided to play in the Australian NBL this season. The 20-year-old continues to improve and should be a first-rounder in June if he stays in the draft.
Klintman is 6’10 with an intriguing and inconsistent game. He shows flashes of potential on both ends of the floor, but it comes and goes. The 20-year-old is averaging 10.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 21.9 minutes each night over his first 22 games this season. He has made 27 of his 80 3-point attempts. Klintman has the size and athletic to defend, but he struggles on that end of the floor.
Some team will fall in love with his potential and take him in the first round, especially in a draft with so much uncertainty. Bobi Klintman could be an impactful rotation player for a decade-plus or never see the floor in the NBA. The raw talent is there, but he must improve to reach anywhere near his ceiling.
The Indiana Pacers need a power forward and have to build through the draft. They take a shot on Klintman’s upside and hope to develop him into a key piece around Tyrese Haliburton.
