Use pick to trade for Mitchell Robinson

Shifting back to the strategy of seeking out an established center, the Grizzlies have no doubt been keeping their eyes on the NBA playoffs as well. So it should be of no surprise if they also have interest in the Knicks' Mitchell Robinson.

Currently out due to injury and likely to miss the remainder of New York's playoff run, Mitchell was playing very well before he was ultimately sidelined. In Game 1 of the first round against the Philadelphia 76ers, Robinson put up eight points and 12 rebounds against the likes of Joel Embiid on the interior. Were he still on the floor, the Knicks would likely be an even better bet to reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

Mitchell is another developmental success story. A second-round pick taken by the Knicks in 2018, he has spent his entire career in New York and has become nothing short of a fan favorite in the Big Apple. Prying him away would definitely take a reasonable offer, but Memphis has the means to do so.

The Grizzlies currently own four first-round picks in the next three drafts. One or more of those selections could absolutely be leveraged toward trading for a proven talent like Mitchell Robinson.
