The only 3 players worth Grizzlies trading Jaren Jackson Jr. for

If the Memphis Grizzlies ever opted to part ways with Jaren Jackson Jr., they'd likely be doing so in an effort to reshuffle their frontcourt rotation.

Lauri Markkanen

Though Jaren Jackson Jr. has been a player frequently found mentioned in hypothetical and often outlandish trade scenarios this summer, there have been no credible sources suggesting he's someone at risk of being on the move anytime soon.

Lauri Markkanen, on the other hand, has been the talk of the town when it comes to trade rumblings this summer, and, with his specific skill set along with his enviable build and prime age of 27, it's easy to see why teams are so interested in his services.

Despite being 7 feet tall, Markkanen has proven capable of running the floor with the agility and finesse found generally in much smaller talents.

Since embarking on his career renaissance upon his arrival to Utah in 2022, the big man has established himself as a legitimate All-Star and has posted phenomenal averages of 24.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting a highly efficient 49.0 percent from the floor and 39.5 percent from distance.

Though the concept of swapping Jackson out for Markkanen would lessen the defensive firepower at the four, being they would still have Marcus Smart in tow and the frightening Zach Edey manning the middle, there's an argument to be made that they could make do without his services on the less glamorous side of the ball, especially if they upgrade significantly on offense with Markkanen's impressive abilities.
