3. OG Anunoby
Dating as far back as last season, OG Anunoby has been viewed as a player that could be of great service to this Grizzlies squad, and even the organization seemingly believes as such considering they "had high, high interest" in pursuing his services, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
Considering his on-court excellence and enviable age of 26, it's rather easy to see why.
Since coming into the league back in 2017, Anunoby has established himself as a rock-solid starting three who can contribute on both ends of the floor and has championship-winning experience attached to his resume (nabbed a title with the Raptors in 2019).
Now in his seventh season in Toronto, the wing once again finds himself producing at a tremendous level of play, posting impressive averages of 15.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and just shy of a block while shooting 48.4 percent from the floor and 39.4 percent from distance.
While the Grizzlies could certainly use for a number of rotational boosts, easily the most buzzed about position that's been in need of filling since the departure of Dillon Brooks this past summer is the small forward slot.
Considering his trusty scoring abilities (16.6 points per game with an effective field goal percentage of 55.6 over the last four years) coupled with his highly effective and well documented defensive prowess, adding a guy like Anunoby would not only be a major benefit to the team in 2023-24 but, with his contract extending through 2024-25 and in possession of several more primes years after, for the long-haul as well.
