3. Brandon Clarke
In the event that the Grizzlies look to make some sort of splash in the trade department, in all likelihood they'll need to be willing to part with assets that are both valuable and financially suitable.
Brandon Clarke and his four-year, $52 million contract alone fits both of these areas.
Currently sidelined due to an Achilles tear suffered last March, there's a realistic chance that the fan-favorite big man will miss the entirety of this season while fears of him never getting back to his pre-injury form have been circulating for quite some time now.
Memphis needs help in the now and, while there's no way of knowing at this point what kind of player Clarke will be upon his return from injury, perhaps it may be wise of them to sell high on him before an official answer comes about.
Prior to going down last year, the former first-rounder was having himself quite an impressive campaign, showcasing his elite defensive intangibles and athleticism while posting averages of 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and just shy of a block on a career-best 65.6 percent shooting from the field while boasting a 1.8 defensive box plus-minus along the way.
A tweener big who can play both ends of the ball and possesses (at least, before injury) out-of-the-gym bounce, the fifth-year pro is someone who would make any number of clubs across the association interested if shopped around.
The only question is, how much would his battered services be worth at this point in time?
