The Memphis Grizzlies have proven to be one of the most injury-ravaged teams throughout these first few months of 2023-24 what with the frequent absences of key players such as Steven Adams (season-ending knee surgery), Marcus Smart (recently returned from a nagging foot sprain), and Brandon Clarke (Achilles tear rehabilitation), just to name a few.

And just when some of these players have started to make their way back to the hardwood, which conveniently has also coincided with the return of superstar Ja Morant (suspended the first 25 games of the year), it seems that now the club will have yet another noteworthy contributor headlining the injury report for the foreseeable future.

Grizzlies guard Derrick Rose 'week-to-week' with hamstring injury

On January 3, just a few hours before playing host to the visiting Toronto Raptors, the Grizzlies revealed in an updated injury report that veteran guard Derrick Rose is being listed as "week-to-week" as a result of a hamstring injury sustained during Tuesday's bout against the San Antonio Spurs.

Rose, a well-documented injury risk throughout his 16 years in the association, had recently made his return to the lineup on December 31 following a seven-game absence due to the same ailment.

When playing this season the point guard has produced like a sound contributor within the rotation for the Grizzlies, averaging 8.4 points, 3.4 assists, and 1.8 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game.

Unfortunately, he has already missed 17 of a potential total of 34 contests as a result of various injuries and, based on Memphis' latest update, it seems he'll be adding several more DNP's to his lackluster collection.
