As has generally proven to be the case over the past several years, tempers once again flared during the recent matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors as Draymond Green and Desmond Bane got into a slight altercation mid-way through quarter number two of their Wednesday night bout.

The sequence of events was kicked off when Santi Aldama started jawing with the Dubs forward following a physical battle in the painted area.

Things spilled over toward the sidelines when Green tried to interject into the conversation coach Taylor Jenkins was having with officials regarding the spat, ultimately resulting in Bane and him getting into a shoving match that ended up thrusting the Grizzlies headman to the hardwood.

Jenkins' fall was only short lived, as he was quick to hop back onto his feet once the crowd started to disperse, though he remained hunched over for a brief time to catch his breath.

While many may have been concerned for the coach's well-being, the instigator in Green seemed to share a different point of view on the matter, as he stated during a recent episode of The Draymond Green Show that he feels the coach "milked" his reaction to the situation and described it as "absolutely insane."

Draymond Green says Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins 'milked' fall

"I could not believe that he milked it like that. He's laying on the court milking it and their trainer comes up to him... and the trainer asks Taylor Jenkins 'You ok?' He's like 'I'm ok, I'm ok.' Like, trying to milk it. That to me is absolutely insane... It says a lot about you, but a coach taking a dive and then milking it is crazy. You cannot milk it that long... Like come on bro, that's what players do sometimes when they're trying to get a flagrant foul. They just lay there, the trainer comes up, they whisper to the trainer 'I'm good.' That happens... You can't do that as the coach, I'm just sorry. that was crazy to me."

Green would also note in the segment that Jenkins has a reputation of getting a bit too emotional on the sidelines, and stated that "sometimes his team follows that" with how they act on the floor.

The big man had previously made the statement following the contest that this altercation seemed to work against the Grizzlies in the end, as he said it "kind of woke our team up" and that they "got going from there [and] never looked back."

Unfortunately for Memphis, he seems to have been right, as they went on to be trounced by the Warriors by a final score of 137-116.
