Grade the Trade: Nauseating new proposal sees Grizzlies give up on Jaren Jackson Jr.

This new trade idea for the Memphis Grizzlies may be one of the least logical moves they could possibly make.

Grading the trade: Should the Grizzlies say yes?

This may actually be one of the most lopsided and nonsensical trade ideas for the Grizzlies a person could come across.

Don't read what we're not saying here -- Julius Randle is a phenomenal player in this league who, in many ways, could be a great addition to this team's frontcourt.

From his inside-out scoring skills to his impressive passing abilities for a player of his size, the three-time All-Star would be a nice complementary playmaker outside of Ja Morant -- something the team was missing last season in his absence -- while his fit at the four could be really fun to watch on the offensive side of the ball.

However, in all honesty, Jackson has already proven himself to be an impressive offensive weapon at the position himself throughout his six-year tenure with the club, while his defensive chops are undeniably far superior to that of Randle's.

Frankly, all the reasons mentioned for why the Knicks should accept this trade are exactly why Memphis shouldn't: Jackson is a treasure on the defensive end, has a solid back of tricks he can pull out in the scoring department, and he's younger than Randle.

On top of this, he's already proven to excel while running alongside a core group consisting of him, Morant, and Desmond Bane. Not to mention, Loring's stance on their sub-par playoff successes is a bit misleading, as injuries, not compatibility, have proven to be the primary culprit in their demises over the years.

Add all of this to the fact that this proposal sees two first-round picks heading to the Big Apple alongside the proven All-Star, and this actually may be one of the worst trades the Grizzlies could ever consider executing.
