After a two-month-long, injury-induced hiatus, Memphis Grizzlies stud Desmond Bane made his way back to the hardwood on March 13 in what turned out to be a hard-fought bout against the surging OKC Thunder.
As expected, his presence within the lineup provided Taylor Jenkins' club with a tremendous spark right from the jump and, in turn, has made them more of a menacing opponent for virtually any team to square off against.
Unfortunately, heading into Wednesday night's bout against Denver, the Grizzlies run the risk of being without this specific edge, as Bane currently finds himself listed on the NBA's official injury report.
The question on everyone's mind: Is Desmond Bane playing tonight against the Nuggets?
Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane 'questionable' ahead of Nuggets game
Per the league's injury report, the 25-year-old is currently considered "questionable" for the contest due to "Back; Soreness," likely linked to the ailment that held him out from January to March.
Should he not wind up being activated for the game, one should expect coach Jenkins to look toward the likes of sophomore Jake LaRavia to take on starting two-guard responsibilities, though even he finds himself listed as questionable for the outing with a reported "illness" so there may be no true tell at this point when it comes to what the staff's pivot option could wind up being.
Nuggets injury updates ahead of Grizzlies matchup on March 25
As things currently stand, the only noteworthy names listed on the injury report are rather polarizing, as both Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are found listed as "questionable" due to "Low Back; Pain/Left
Hip Inflammation" and "Left Ankle; Sprain," respectively.
