Though the Memphis Grizzlies served as sellers at this year's trade deadline, Zach Kleiman and company still managed to make some noteworthy additions to their core that is hoped to benefit the team for the next several years to come.

By trading away the likes of Steven Adams, Xavier Tillman, and, lastly, David Roddy ahead of the February 8 cutoff, the front office opened up extra roster space with which rookie standout GG Jackson was able to have his contract converted from a two-way deal to a full scale, multi-year pact.

This particular decision has been one largely praised by media pundits, the fan base, and even members of the franchise, with superstar Ja Morant reacting with a three-word post on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account.

Ja Morant shows public approval of GG Jackson's new Grizzlies deal

Morant is by no means the first Grizzlies player to share excitement for and overall approval of Jackson's signing, as co-star Jaren Jackson Jr. has also publicly liked the team's initial report on X, though he has seemingly been the most vocal about it on social media.

Deserving of high praise on top of his new deal with the franchise, Jackson has played exceptionally well since becoming a regular within coach Taylor Jenkins' rotation back in mid-January, as he finds himself sporting impressive averages of 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and just shy of a block while shooting 45.7 percent from the floor and 38.8 percent from deep through a 15 game span.

The rookie joins fellow 2023-24 standout Vince Williams Jr. as the two Grizzlies that have been rewarded with full-scale contracts midway through the season as a result of their sensational play.
