2. Derrick Rose

Recently, Derrick Rose made headlines as a result of his public shaming for the recent production of the Grizzlies during a postgame interview, claiming that there's "no way in hell we're going to win" should they continue playing they way they have been all season.

Unfortunately, his comments have not yet managed to translate into a triumphant turnaround for the club, as they were trounced by 20+ points in their direct followup matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 26.

While his vocal leadership is an attribute that Memphis opted to bring him aboard for this past summer, perhaps at this current time he might get a better response from his teammates if he led by example, and thrusting him into the starting lineup as the primary point guard could be a way for him to do exactly that.

Just recently, Rose returned from a nagging ankle injury that held him out for seven straight games. Since making his way back on November 18, the veteran has played as if he hasn't missed a day, and has posted impressive averages of 11.3 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 60.7 percent from the floor and 50.0 percent from deep in just 17.9 minutes during this span.

Showcasing a similar brand of burst and energy that made him a perennial All-Star and a league MVP during his prime, though inserting him into the primary one guard role won't turn back the clocks perhaps it could be enough inspiration for his Grizzlies cohorts to follow suit in their own efforts.
