3. Jerami Grant
Is Grant ready to chase a championship? The 30-year-old has not made the playoffs since the bubble in 2020 and has just 35 games of postseason experience in his decade in the NBA. The Blazers are in year one of a rebuild and may look to dump his hefty contract this summer.
Finding a forward with size and versatility is not easy. Grant has scored over 20 points per game while shooting north of 40 percent from 3-point range in his two seasons in Portland. He can handle the ball, make some plays, and guard multiple positions. Grant would not be the top-scoring option on the Grizzlies, but would be a fantastic addition if he is willing to accept a role.
The 6’7 forward helped the Nuggets reach the conference finals in the bubble and can be an impactful option in the postseason. He would be the Dillon Brooks replacement in Memphis, who gives the Grizzlies more flexibility with their lineups and rotation. His ball-handling and shot creation could be massive, especially if Memphis is having spacing issues.
His franchise will owe Jerami Grant $132.4 million over the next four years. That is a hefty price to pay for Memphis with two other players making north of $30 million per year. Grant would be impactful, but making the math work is not easy.
