Luke Kennard

Per league rumblings, though Luke Kennard may have had his final year under contract turned down by the Grizzlies, both sides are eager to come to terms on a mutually beneficial restructured contract to remain united.

One of the best long-range shooters the game currently has to offer, there's no denying that the veteran's services could be of great benefit to the vast majority of teams across the association, especially those that are looking to contend for a title in the near future.

Despite what their 27-55 record from last season may suggest, the Grizzlies are without question a team that fits this description, and, because of this, there should be strong confidence that they can find a way to craft up a deal that's to the delight of both them and Kennard.

Projected landing spot: Memphis Grizzlies

Throughout his career with Memphis, Kennard has only managed to up his long-range game and overall play on the hardwood.

Logging 25.2 minutes a night during his tenure, the 28-year-old is posting averages of 11.1 points, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 rebounds with Memphis all while shooting a ridiculously efficient 47.5 percent from the floor and 48.3 percent from deep.

Since being paired alongside the attacking skillset of Ja Morant, Kennard has been the beneficiary of many successful drive-and-kick sets.

Now, with the superstar set to return coupled with the addition of the behemoth big Zach Edey, who is only expected to draw an obscene amount of double teams when near the rim, the opportunities for even more clean looks from beyond the arc are only projected to increase.

The Grizzlies must have a knock-down shooter to capitalize on such opportunities, and Kennard is the ideal player to have in tow for these types of situations.
