Ranking each month of Grizzlies 2024-25 NBA schedule on level of difficulty
By Mark Nilon
The NBA has officially released the 2024-25 regular season schedule for all 30 teams in the association and, when it comes to the 82-game slate for this redemption-driven Memphis Grizzlies team, it's evident that some months project to be easier than others.
With guys like Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane all back in the fold and teaming up with key and promising talents in Marcus Smart, GG Jackson, Vince Williams Jr., and Zach Edey, hope is rather high among the franchise's faithful followers that this team can find a way to reestablish themselves as a top-flight threat in the highly competitive Western Conference standings.
Of course, throughout their seven-months of action, some stretches are bound to see more successes than others, and there's a clear hierarchy when it comes to how their game calendars break down.

7) October
Unsurprisingly, the easiest monthly stretch for the Grizzlies is also their shortest.
Kicking off the 2024-25 NBA regular season on October 23, Memphis will be suiting up in a mere six games before the calendar page will ultimately flip to November.
Though the truncated number of outings certainly plays a role in why October projects to be their least stressful, what also factors into this particular rank is that they will find themselves squaring off against just two teams during this span that boasted a record above .500 last season (Orlando Magic on Oct. 26 and Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 31).
Along with this, they will be playing four of their games in front of a familiar crowd out at FedEx Forum, thus giving them the home-court advantage the majority of the way, and, most importantly, when playing against the aforementioned winning teams from 2023-24.
