3. GG Jackson

There's an argument to be made that GG Jackson may actually be the most valuable trade asset the Grizzlies have within their arsenal.

Fresh off an incredibly impressive first season where he earned All-Rookie Second Team honors and finished as the fourth-highest scorer based on a per-game basis among his class, the tweener forward heads into his sophomore showing with serious momentum and confidence on his side.

With these accomplishments, along with the fact that he's still only 19 years old, it should come as no surprise that a player like Jackson is someone who virtually any team, including "rebuilders" as B/R's Andy Bailey put it, would desire to have on their roster moving forward.

And while these factors certainly put him in the running to be considered the club's most valuable trade asset, they are also reasons for why he is without question one of the least likely players to be moved on from anytime soon.

Through 48 games played in his debut season, the one-and-done Gamecock went on to showcase the skill set that initially made him a five-star recruit coming out of high school, as he was a true force to be reckoned with on the offensive end, dropping 14.6 points per night on 35.7 percent shooting from distance.

A spark plug frontcourt talent, with his specific play style coupled with his 6-foot-9 frame Jackson has the makings of becoming the wing that they've consistently tried and failed to land over the last several years (ex. drafting Ziaire Williams and Jake LaRavia; trading for Danny Green back in 2022).

It's not every day that a team manages to land a recent five-star recruit mid-way through the second round of a draft, but that's exactly what happened out in Memphis last June.
