Grizzlies big Santi Aldama drops 1-word statement after besting Giannis, Team Greece

Though in the NBA while serving as a rotation player for the Memphis Grizzlies he may be viewed as underutilized and underrated, on the world stage during the 2024 Paris Olympics Santi Aldama is proving to be one of the illustrious tournament's most impactful ballers.
Representing his native country of Spain, the 23-year-old helped guide the national team to their first win of these games, as they muscled their way past Giannis Antetokounmpo and the winless Team Greece by a final score of 84-77 to stave off a do-or-die Friday exhibition against Australia.
Following the contest, Aldama headed to X (formerly Twitter) to share an exciting and energetic one-word post to encapsulate his emotions after such a nitty-gritty win.

Vamos, which translates to "let's go" in English, is a perfect phrase to use to celebrate Team Spain's impressive victory on Tuesday.
Though for the most part the game was never all that close, as the Grizzlies stud's club held as much as a 14-point lead heading into halftime, considering they were squaring off against the All-World superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, from a mental standpoint, it seemed as if things weren't out of reach either until the final buzzer sounded.
The only time things proved to be a bit concerning for Spain was during the final period when Greece went on a 15-9 run roughly during the initial six minutes of action, a stretch largely led by the Greek Freak himself.
However, despite this slight slide coupled with the fact that he found himself on the wrong side of a poster dunk, Aldama still kept his composure thereafter as he converted on a clutch lay-in directly following the jam and spearheaded the charge to a subsequent 8-0 run.
In the end, his efforts willed Team Spain to a much-needed, hard-fought victory backed by his 19 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. With their 1-1 record, they now set their sights on facing the surging Team Canada (2-0) for the Group A finale.
