2023-24 has served as a revolving door of sorts for this Memphis Grizzlies roster, as they've seen a bevy of people come in and out over the vast majority of the campaign.

Now, ahead of the club's Friday night matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, fans have received word of a newcomer heading Grind City-bound with the likes of Wenyen Gabriel.

Per a report by Hoops Hype reporter Michael Scotto, on Thursday evening the Grizzlies and Gabriel agreed to terms on a 10-day contract.

Following a two-year collegiate stint with the Kentucky Wildcats, Wenyen declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, where he would go unselected through two rounds and, ultimately, sign on with the Sacramento Kings on a two-way contract.

Over the six years that followed his entry into the professional realm of basketball, the big saw stints with five other clubs all while logging consistent action within the G League throughout.

Last Gabriel saw varsity action was in 2022-23 while serving as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers where, through 68 games played, he sported averages of 5.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and half a block while shooting 59.6 percent from the floor and 27.8 percent shooting from deep.

A tweener big who can play the four or five spot, the signing of the 26-year-old provides the Grizzlies with a short-term, albeit much-needed reinforcement to the team's frontcourt that, through both injuries and mid-season trades, has become absolutely decimated and largely vacated.
