The Memphis Grizzlies were completely decimated by injuries during the 2023-24 campaign, as they saw a record number of players suit up for the franchise as a result of said ailments.

Of course, the most noteworthy player who received a chomp from the injury bug was superstar Ja Morant, who, soon after making his return from an initial 25-game suspension, sustained a subluxation in his shoulder during a training session and, in turn, held him to less than a month of action on the year before undergoing surgery in mid-January.

Now, five months removed from the operation, the point guard finds himself slowly but surely making his way back to full strength in preparation for what is hoped to be a redemption campaign for both him and the Grizzlies as a whole, and recent footage of a behind-the-scenes shoot around with MBNO Training should get fans excited when it comes to where he's at in his recovery timeline.

Recently surfaced video shows Grizzlies star Ja Morant back in the lab

What's most noteworthy about this clip is that the two-time All-Star's shooting stroke seems smooth and without any hitches attached, which is exciting to see considering his injury was sustained in his right shoulder, which is his dominant side.

For the Grizzlies to redeem themselves following their putrid 27-55 finish this past season, they'll need a fully healthy Morant leading the charge at the point guard position. Based on this recent clip, it appears he's on the right track to enter 2024-25 with said status.

Morant was held to a mere nine games played this past season, though still showcased his tremendous talent and overall impact in this limited action. Logging 35.3 minutes a night, the 24-year-old posted stellar per-game averages of 25.1 points, 8.1 assists, and 5.6 rebounds on 47.1 percent shooting from the field and sported a +3.1 box plus-minus, the highest on the team.
