3. Jake LaRavia

As of late, Jake LaRavia has seen a major upswing in his on-court productivity, boasting impressive averages of 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals on 37.7 percent shooting from distance over the last 21 games of action.

While to some, this surge is a sign that the young guard could be on the verge of finally breaking out, from a strategic standpoint the Grizzlies could very realistically look at his recent play as being an opportunity for them to capitalize and sell high on his services via the trade market.

Since being selected 19 overall during the 2022 NBA Draft, the 22-year-old has shown flashes of why Memphis was so high on him in his respective class though has failed to piece his promise together on a consistent basis.

From his solid ball handling skills to his smooth shooting stroke, it goes without question that he sports the raw intangibles necessary to be a solid rotation player in the association.

However, the main issue with keeping him in Grind City moving forward is that once coach Jenkins' rotation gets back to full strength, the playing time that he's come across during this latter stage of the season and that's crucial to his development will likely cease to exist.

On another, non-title-hopeful team, perhaps he could find an easier way toward logging ample minutes and his recent production coupled with the fact that he's still attached to a rookie-scale deal through 2026 certainly ups his value and, in turn, the intrigue from opposing ball clubs to pursue the young prospect.
