Grizzlies player No. 4) Ja Morant

If Team USA is focused on piecing together the best collection of talent the country has to offer, then Ja Morant should be seen as a clear favorite to find himself logging minutes within the backcourt for coach Kerr's lineup in 2028.

Though he's technically already been eligible to participate in two Olympic games during his five-year professional tenure, for Tokyo (2021) he was still rather green considering he was only in his second season in the association while for Paris (2024) he was coming off a serious injury that sidelined him for the final 46 games of the year and was found rehabbing well into the summer.

Now fully cleared to resume basketball activities, Morant finds himself heading toward a redemption run in 2024-25, one where he has already admitted he believes opposing players will fear his impact and be reminded of his mesmerizing abilities.

One of the game's most entertaining and overall elite talents, when healthy the point guard has proven himself to be an All-NBA player and perennial All-Star selectee.

With his sensational combination of court vision, speed, and out-of-the-gym bounce, Morant has taken part in countless highlight performances, while his on-court dominance (22.5 points, 7.4 assists, 4.8 rebounds on 47.5 percent shooting for his career) and underrated leadership abilities have helped guide the Grizzlies to legitimately historic heights during his tenure.

Assuming he can stay away from any more exterior issues and avoid any other serious health-related ailments between now and the next Summer Olympics, one should expect to see Morant helping Team USA try to earn their sixth-straight Gold out in Los Angeles.
