The Memphis Grizzlies got back on track with a home victory over the Toronto Raptors last night before the team hits the road for a five-game trip that spans the new year. Their victory over the Raptors last night brought their record to 21-10, including winning 13 of their last 16 games after an 8-7 start.

Last night's victory was also the 14th time this season that the Grizzlies had seven different players reach double figures in scoring, led by double-double performances from their starting frontcourt, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Zach Edey. The Grizzlies' surge has come with history-making efforts, and last night was no exception.

Most points scored in a game in franchise history

One week ago (about a week ago), the Grizzlies secured the largest margin of victory of the NBA season and their largest victory over the Golden State Warriors in a 51-point win over their rivals. The 144 points they scored in that game were also their largest point total of the NBA season and the second-largest in the NBA at that time.

The Memphis Grizzlies returned from their Christmas Day off to present more gifts to the fanbase as the team set a franchise record for most points scored in a game with 155 points against the Raptors. The 155 points they scored is also the largest point total in the NBA this season, surpassing the 145 points scored by the New York Knicks in November.

The Grizzlies' previous franchise single-game scoring record was 152 points in what was also the largest margin of victory in NBA history in their 152-79 defeat of the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 2, 2021. Scoring has been the least of the Grizzlies' problems this season, leading to the team not knowing the record at the time it was broken when Luke Kennard hit a free throw with 1:37 remaining in the game.

The consensus from the Grizzlies players was that they felt like they could've scored more but were excited about the result. Another blowout victory over a lesser opponent before they embark on their toughest stretch amid their longest road trip of the season so far was what the doctor ordered.

The team is locked in and has one goal in mind that seems to resonate throughout the organization. As the Grizzlies continue to make history while playing inspiring basketball, expect more history to be made as this team is poised to make a run to not only prove the doubters wrong but to prove themselves right.
