The Memphis Grizzlies enter this week on a six-game winning streak as they prepare for their showdown against the East's current three-seed New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. The latter part of their current winning streak came with a full week at home as they won four straight at the FedExForum last week.

The competition got weaker as their last three wins came against teams with a combined 34 wins on the season, which is only three more than the Grizzlies have with 31 victories. However, a tough slate is on the horizon this week against other teams ranked within the Grizzlies' range in the latest NBA Power Rankings.

NBA.com: 5th

The Grizzlies remained at the fifth spot in the latest NBA.com power rankings ahead of their matchup with this week's sixth ranked team the New York Knicks. The Grizzlies also have their final matchup of the season against this week's second ranked team the Houston Rockets, who they are 0-3 against this season.

Although the Grizzlies are 8-11 in clutch games, they have won three of their last four opportunities, including two against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They also have league's best offense over their six-game winning streak with their best shooters (Luke Kennard, Desmond Bane, Jaylen Wells) shooting a combined 51.4% over that stretch.

The Grizzlies regular starting lineup of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Jaylen Wells, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Zach Edey have eclipsed the former Golden State Warriors "Death Lineup" with +41.6 points per 100 possessions as the highest mark in 18 seasons.

They end their week with a matchup against the 11-ranked Milwaukee Bucks on February 2nd, meaning their three games this week come against the top 11 teams with two on the road.

ClutchPoints: 4th

The Grizzlies kept their fourth ranking in ClutchPoints' updated power rankings while their next two opponents remained in their positions, too, with the Knicks at seven and the Rockets at three. The Bucks dropped one spot to 10th so ClutchPoints have the Grizzlies playing against three of the top 10 teams this week.

The team has averaged 127.3 points per game over their last eight games with four different players leading the team in scoring during that timeframe. Currently, holding the NBA's longest active win streak at six game, the Grizzlies have the best offensive rating in the NBA since the calendar flipped to 2025.

HoopsHype: 5th

The Grizzlies ranked fourth in HoopsHype's last power ranking in mid-December and only dropped one spot from fourth to fifth. HoopsHype decided to take a look at every team's weakness in their rankings and called out the Grizzlies' weakness in the fouling department.

As the team with the second-most committed fouls in the NBA, they can get a little lackadaisical because of their physical brand of defense. Jaren Jackson Jr. isn't as foul-prone as he has been in the past but still has a tendency to get into foul trouble.

Zach Edey is adjusting the NBA but Scotty Pippen Jr. and Brandon Clarke utilize their six fouls off the bench. Three of the Grizzlies' frontcourt players are the most foul-prone players on the team, and this is something to monitor when the playoffs come around.
