Mike Conley Injury Status

– Mike Conley practiced Friday night and expects to be in the starting lineup on Sunday. Time off has heralded steps towards recovery. Conley mentioned he still feels soreness in his foot each morning, but it improves as he moves around. While a game-time decision, Conley sounds confident that he’ll be playing against the Trail Blazers to start the series.

Conley last played in the regular season against the New Orleans Pelicans on April 8th. In his last matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, Conley scored 21 points on 72.7 FG% and dished 9 assists.

Tony Allen Injury Status

– Tony Allen plans to give it a go Sunday night despite nursing a left hamstring injury and not quite 100 percent. Allen practiced on Friday, and stated he can ‘tolerate the little pain’ he’s having and ‘getting better day-to-day’. He will be a game-time decision against the Trail Blazers and more information will be available after the Grizzlies’ shootaround.

Allen last played in the regular season against the Golden States Warriors on March 27th. In his last matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, Allen scored 10 points on 66.7 FG%, pulled down 11 boards, and grabbed an impressive 6 steals.

Arron Afflalo Injury Status

– The Portland Trail Blazers’ Arron Afflalo is listed as doubtful to play on Sunday’s match with the Grizzlies. Afflalo will likely require two weeks to heal from the shoulder strain he suffered on April 9th. He was able to get some shots up on Friday, which is a good sign he’ll play in the series.

Afflalo last played in the regular season against the Golden State Warriors on April 9th. In his last matchup with Memphis Grizzlies, Afflalo scored 8 points on 50 FG%.

Z-Bo Ticket Giveaway

– Zach Randolph gave away 300 tickets he purchased to Grizzlies fans following Saturday’s practice. The tickets were handed out to fans in the FedEx Forum Grand Lobby around 2pm. A quality gesture by Randolph who has a history of giving back to the fans. Tickets were distributed on a first come, first serve basis and limited to two tickets per person.

Memphis Grizzlies Host Playoff Plaza Parties

– The Memphis Grizzlies will host playoff plaza parties two hours before tipoff of each game. Events will include live music, face painters and balloon artists. Every fan in attendance on April 19th and 22nd will also receive the instantly recognizable ‘Believe Memphis’ yellow towel.

The Grizzlies have also teamed up with local restaurants and pubs for watch parties, sponsored by Bud Light.
