The Memphis Grizzlies dominated Game 1 of their first round matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers and therefore lead the series 1-0.

The Memphis Grizzlies came to play. They were fully prepared. These are two understatements.

Memphis began their title run with a commanding 100-86 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Although this is just the first meeting of a best-of-seven series, this strong performance shown by the home squad really took the breath out of Portland.

Tonight’s Grizz win was the first time since the 2011 NBA Playoffs in which the Memphis Grizzlies have won their opening game of a postseason appearance. That is very impressive given the Grizz have had tremendous success over the past several NBA Playoffs.
